Angie McCartyWhat do you do at St. Paul’s?
I am the Associate Pastor whose purpose is to provide opportunities for people to continue or to begin their relationship with Jesus Christ.

How big is your family?
Sam and I were married in Dallas, Texas in 1999. We have 3 kids, Addison, Jackson & Brendan who are growing faster than we could ever have imagined.

What do you do for fun?
I LOVE trail running and training for a variety of athletic events from boot camps to triathlons. I enjoy cooking (hence, the need for trail running) and engaging in new experiences.

What’s your favorite kind of music?
Perky happy fast tempo songs. Currently my iPod mix includes songs like “Beautiful Day” “Happy Day” “Perfect Day” “It’s a Good day” “There are Days” and “It’s a Sunshine Day”. I’m also happy with a complete mix of U2.

Who are your favorite authors/books?
My life was transformed when I read “To Kill a Mockingbird” in high school and nothing has ever matched its power. I enjoy reading Brian McLaren and Eugene Peterson. I also prefer the New Living Translation of the Bible.

What do you get at Starbucks?
Again, it depends on how much I ran on any given day. Either…straight up black coffee or an iced skinny caramel macchiato. Yummm Yummm good.
