MOPS
(Mothers of Preschoolers)...Because Mothering Matters
MOPS seeks to meet the unique needs of Mothers of Preschoolers (all children
ages 0-5) by providing a caring, supportive community that provides tools,
information, food and fun in a casual come-as-you-are atmosphere. We at St.
Paul's are excited to bring this ministry to our community of mothers!
MOPS International exists to encourage, equip and develop every mother of
preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the
name of Jesus Christ.
The Six Needs of Mothers of Preschoolers
From the book What Every Mom Needs by Elisa Morgan and Carol Kuykendall
Identity: I want to find "me" again
"To know me - who I am and who I am not - is to love me"
Growth: I want space to develop me
"Better moms make a better world. And a better me makes a better mom."
Relationship: I want someone to understand me
"No mom is an island. Without people in my life who know me and love me, I
can't be me."
Help: I want some help!
"Many hands make little work, and make the work a lot more fun!"
Perspective: I want to stay focused on what matters
"Fit today into the BIGGER PICTURE of life"
Hope: I want to find a deeper meaning to life
"Hope is a relationship between God and me. God knows me, stays with me,
cares about my feelings, and helps me be the best mother I can be."
Does this sound like what you need? St. Paul's MOPS group meets on the 2nd
and 4th Thursday of the month from 9:15-11:45 AM in the Life Center. Contact
MOPS coordinator, Connie Jo Carroll for more information!
