Upward Sports Ministries

Upward is a sports ministry specifically designed for kindergarten through sixth grade boys and girls that promotes the love of Jesus, character building self-esteem in every child. With only one game and one practice each week, Upward allows your child to gain valuable teamwork and sporting skills, while not consuming your family’s already hectic schedule.  Upward sports ministries does not focus as much on keeping score as it promotes that Every Child is a Winner.  What make Upward so unique?

*Children practice one night a week for an hour.

*All games are played on Saturday.

*Children will do a short devotion during each practice to help kids and coaches build lasting relationships while learning more about our amazing God and how much He loves us!

* We pray before the start of each game and are lead in a meaningful devotion at halftime.

The Summer '08 season is just about to start.  Registration begins on April 15th, just as soon as the current season comes to a close.  Registration from April 15th-May 1st is only $58.  Registration taken May 1st through May 16th is $62.  After May 16th registration rises to $72.  The deadline for registration is May 23rd.  Limited scholarships are available.

Every basketball player must attend one evaluation.  Evaluation nights will be held at St. Paul's in the Life Center Gym.  The dates are as follows:

Monday, May 19, 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, May 20, 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, May 22, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Practices begin Monday June 2nd and are held weekly for one hour. The First game is Saturday, June 21st.  The awards celebration is Tuesday, August 19th.
