Upward is a sports ministry specifically designed for kindergarten through
eighth grade boys and girls that promotes the love of Jesus, character
building self-esteem in every child. With only one game and one practice
each week, Upward allows your child to gain valuable teamwork and sporting
skills, while not consuming your family’s already hectic schedule. Upward
sports ministries does not focus as much on keeping score as it promotes
that Every Child is a Winner. What make Upward so unique?
*Children practice one night a week for an hour.
*All games are played on Saturdays.
*Children will do a short devotion during each practice to help kids and
coaches build lasting relationships while learning more about our amazing
God and how much He loves us!
* We pray before the start of each game and are lead in a meaningful
devotion at halftime.

REGISTRATION FOR UPWARD BASKETBALL/CHEERLEADING
Registration for the Fall session of Upward basketball
and cheerleading for boys and girls, Kindergarten through 7th
grade is in progress. Online registration can be completed at
clubs.bluesombrero.com/stpaulsumc. The registration fee is $75
per child. Evaluations will be conducted
on September 13, 15 and 16, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Life Center. First
practices will be the week of September 27. The first game will be October
16 and the season will end on December 11. As with every session of Upward
Sports, volunteer coaches, assistant coaches and referees are needed and
welcomed. No volunteer will be turned away. Additional information may be
