Your Children Are Welcome Here!

Each Sunday in worship, children are invited to the front of the church for a special message.

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church is a community that highly values the presence of children in worship.  From the tiniest baby to the rowdy teenager, we are thankful that we can worship in a way that brings people from all stages of life together into one faith filled community.

As you find your way into this community, you should know that we offer several options for children during times of worship.

For infants and toddlers, nursery care is available at all worship services. At 8:00 on Sunday mornings nursery care is extended for children through the 5th grade.

On Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM, Sunday School aged children (2 years old – 5th grade) are invited to attend the beginning of worship with the adults who brought them.  Following the children’s message, you may consider one of the following choices:

At 9:30 on Sunday mornings children ages 2-5th grade can engage in a fully graded Sunday school program where the goal is to show your child the love of God as revealed through scripture.   The 9:30 Sunday school hour typically hosts 80-100 children.

11:00 on Sunday mornings children ages 2-5thgrade can participate in a multi age  children’s church that teaches how to live as a disciple of Christ. Children in this small group Sunday school setting can enjoy a smaller, quieter setting for learning and growing.

Children love experiencing Jesus in their Sunday School classes

Children from birth through the 5th Grade must be signed out by an authorized person before departing the nursery or classroom.

An additional option for parents with young children is The Rainbow Room.  The Rainbow Room is located on the west side of the sanctuary.  This is a place where parents can sit with their small children separated from the worship crowd, while still being able to see and hear what’s happening in the sanctuary.  This room is a perfect option for nursing mothers who might prefer a bit of privacy.
