Our second annual Peanut Butter Drive begins Tuesday, Aug. 1 and runs through Aug. 31. Our goal is 1,000 jars, which was our total last year. The peanut butter we collect will help Interfaith Community Services (ICS) feed families on Tucson’s east side.
Peanut butter is tasty, high in protein, and most importantly, does not require a kitchen to prepare. Many of those served by ICS do not have access to a kitchen. This is an opportunity to help feed some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Please bring in 12 to 18 oz jars, as these are easiest to pack and carry by recipients. There will be boxes in the narthex where you can drop off your donations.
On Sunday, Sept. 3rd, Tim Kromer, ICS Faith Community Engagement Manager, will be joining us to celebrate our peanut butter drive results.
